An In-Person, Interactive Workshop

NEW DATE: Due to circumstances beyond our control, we postponed the Public Speaking — Confidently Workshop to Sunday, November 9, 2025

This workshop is aimed at ANY member of the public who wishes to improve their public speaking skills for small group discussions around a committee table or for large presentations in a full auditorium or outdoor setting.

Ideal for: Community Leaders, High School Students, Local Show Pageant Entrants

During the in-person workshop, Heather will:

• Initiate an awareness of ways to assist vocal variety,
• Provide tips for confident delivery, and
• Highlight elements to gain and sustain audience attention at all levels of public speaking.

There will be interactive exercises, coupled with a critique section.

The workshop will cover the different techniques used for projecting your natural voice, using a Handheld Microphone, or using Lectern Microphones.

About our Presenter: Heather Jauncey

Heather’s experience and role as a Speech and Drama teacher (Associate, Trinity College of London) has been through private tuition to children, youth and adults (including professional radio announcers) as well as facilitating group workshops and Eisteddfod judging.

Personally, she has used her speaking ability in her profession, public speaking tasks, 18 years with a national radio program and as radio dispatcher in the RFS (ground & aviation).

All exisiting registrants have been moved across to the new date (and they should have received an email directly from us advising of these changes)… but it now means if you wanted to attend but the previous date wasn’t convenient for you, the new November 9th might be???
