Since 2019, ARTC Inland Rail sponsorships and donations program has benefitted more than 280 community groups in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria with grants worth over $930,000.
ARTC Inland Rail offer funding between $1,000–$4,000 for individuals and organisations in regional areas along the Inland Rail route, including Junee Shire, that contribute to local and regional prosperity, well-being and sustainability.
The funding supports short-term or one-off initiatives like:
- sponsoring local festivals and celebrations
- upgrading sporting facilities
- purchasing new laptops for students
- supporting health and wellbeing groups
- mentoring programs
- hosting guest speakers

Local Recipients in Junee Shire
A number of local organisations from within Junee Shire have already benefited from an ARTC Inland Rail sponsorship package!
The Junee Juggernauts now record their three-point shots on the basketball court from a sleek new scoring bench thanks to the Inland Rail Community and Sponsorships Donation program.

Junee High School received seven new Dell Laptops, which are a great addition to the the school’s Laptop Library and have been used by Year 7 and 9 students to undertake practice sessions for their Naplan Tests. They have also received a boost to the “To Dream To Create To Succeed program” by providing additional laptops which have allowed all Year 8 students access to their own device during the school day.

Junee Business and Trades received funding in Round 4, 2021 to help refurbish the Junee Community Christmas Tree that is erected in Broadway each year.

The Junee RSL Sub-Branch were able to purchase $4,000 worth of audio accessories including Speakers, XLR Cables, Stage Boxes and Audio Looms, plus Power Extension Cords for use at the ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day Commemorative Services they conduct within the Junee Shire each year. This equipment is available for use by local not-for-profit community groups and sporting clubs.

The Junee Roundhouse Museum received $4,000 in Round 14 of ARTC Inland Rails Sponsorship program to support their 75th Anniversary Celebrations — a three-day extravaganza of family fun, including the Kapooka Army Band playing each day, train rides from Junee Station, model railways and vintage cars on display, movies at the Athenium Theatre, and 1940s dress and suitcase races. Thanks to support from ARTC Inland Rail and other organisations, the event was free for the whole community to enjoy with plenty of food and drink stalls, and entertainment for the kids.
